What are you wearing today?

This pocket-sized pamphlet was made for a conference on Social Practice Art. The pamphlet was distributed to all conference participants at the registration desk. The front read following:

“No matter your intention the perception of your appearance all depends on the taste of those watching you. During the next four days the rules of perception has been changed. Use this pocket guide to take a closer look at your fellow participants and to stage the way you wish to be viewed”

Inside the folder the reader found a list of different materials and colors staged with a coded meaning. The color code went for accessories such as scarves, ties, socks, bags and nail polish. A red silk scarf e.g. reveals the owner as a person who “would like to be rebellious.”

The project was shown at ‘Open Engagement’, Portland, US
