People were invited to donate a button from their clothing. I removed the desired button & replaced it with another one from a black box. The box contained a button donated by the previous participant. The replaced button could be too small, be a completely wrong colour or maybe far too big. That’s the risk the person would have to run. By changing this small detail of their appearance, the participants got to wear a poetic reminder of another person.
