The installation AFTRYK (imprint) made the visitors choose an object from nature, smash it with a hammer, reconstruct the destroyed piece of nature with a glue gun and exhibit the result.
AFTRYK comments on the Anthropocene era we live in, an era in which our indelible mark on nature has led to global changes in the state of the earth. The reference arises through the concrete actions the participants are invited to perform. AFTRYK is a staging of the human need to restore and recreate the nature that we ourselves have changed and destroyed.
The work was presented at Art Center Silkeborg Bad in connection with the exhibition ‘Amazing Nature’, Silkeborg, DK.
